It’s been a stressful 10 days due to me saying yes to watching a friend’s dog in my home. My little dog has been injured twice accidentally by this dog while they were consensually playing, which has led to the need to keep them separated at all times (and lots of whining). So this stress has led to me siting out on my lanai blowing bubbles to blow off steam. Thank you to the lovely couple that got married and gave these mini bubble wands away as party favors, which was such a gift to me all this time later.
Just like each of us, bubbles are unique. Some are big, others are small. All have different color hues-blue, pink, yellow, and green. They all float at varying lengths.
And like our temporary lives, the bubbles time ends, and are suddenly gone. I sometimes forget how precious life is, but blowing and popping bubbles helps remind me and keep me present. It helps me to stay heavenly vs. earthly focused. In this present time, there is so much shouting for our attention so that is no easy feat, and takes intention.
Journal prompts:
- Have you been more heavenly or earthly focused lately?
- If earthly focused, what shift(s) can God help you make to become more heavenly focused?
